Skills change how you play

Blaze rewards aggressive merging (+score per merge), Midas pays off big-tile chains, Fusion can double a merge out of nowhere, Genesis floods the board with 4s, and Shield saves you from a full board exactly once.

Draft for your build: if you want a huge score, stack Blaze and Midas; if you keep dying to full boards, take Shield early; if you want to race to 2048, Genesis and Fusion accelerate the board.

The roguelike loop

Drafts trigger at tiers 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024 and 2048 — up to nine skill picks per run. Reaching a new tier mid-run is the moment your build comes together, so play for tiers, not just score.

A run ends when the board fills. Score is the sum of your merges plus all skill bonuses (and Fortune adds points per tile at the end). Your best runs climb the roguelike leaderboard.
