Pick a corner — bottom-left is the classic choice — and never move your biggest tile away from it. Move mostly down and left; use up and right only to nudge tiles into place.

Stack your next merge pair right next to your big tile: 2 next to 2, 4 next to 4, always feeding the corner. This keeps the board tidy and gives you room to recover.

Avoid these three mistakes
