The 5×5 board gives you space to breathe. Games last much longer, scores climb far higher, and building multiple 2048+ tiles becomes realistic.
Why 5×5 is a different game
Twenty-five cells mean you can maintain several chains at once. The classic “one corner” strategy still works, but experienced players build a second chain on the opposite side to keep tiles merging efficiently.
5×5 strategy
Keep your main chain along one edge feeding a corner, and use a secondary chain on the far side for the overflow. The middle rows are staging areas — keep them sparse.
Because the game lasts longer, patience pays. Settle into a rhythm: clean the board regularly, avoid creating isolated small tiles, and the high tiles will come.
